Hands down the best museum in NYC: An unforgettable afternoon
大都会艺术博物馆的点评
点评：If you can only visit one cultural spot while in New York, make it The Met. No matter how high your expectations are going in, this place simply exceeds them the moment you step through the main hall.
It’s massive, but every gallery has something that makes you stop dead in your tracks. Standing inside the wing with the Temple of Dendur, with the sun streaming through the glass windows over the water, is an unforgettable experience. The European paintings and the Arms and Armor hall are equally breathtaking—you could easily wander for hours and still feel like you've only seen a fraction of what’s there.
A special shout-out to the staff, too. In a place that big, you might expect it to feel impersonal, but every docent and security guard we asked for directions was remarkably warm, patient, and clearly proud to work there.
Give yourself plenty of time and soak it in—an absolute must-do in NYC.
