点评:I have done several week-long trail rides around Europe and unfortunately the ride Luberon to Lamargue was the worst one by far for various reasons. I can say with confidence that the trail itself was not corresponding to the difficulty level advertised (intermediate), as it was mostly walking. Imagine 6 hours only walking - this was our first day of riding. The second day the same, just less hours on a saddle. During the whole trek, we trotted 3 times and cantered only 2 times, both for very short distances. The guide blamed it on a weather - that it was slippery and windy. The main reason seemed to be actually the horses, as 2 horses in the group could not cope with faster pace and started bucking immediately. One rider broke her finger the very first day, as it was not instructed that her horse could not be mounted without assistance, and the horse bucked again. It was not safe at all, and they were not able to change the horses as apparently there were no other ones available! So we could only go for short canters on the last day and 2 bucking horses with their riders had to stay behind.
On top of that, the guest house used as main accommodation (3 nights in total) during the trail, was very let down in regards of quality - poor food, molded jam on breakfast table and the whole place smelled of cigarettes.
The only things I enjoyed during this trek were the picnics arranged by the lovely assistant.
