点评:We took a guided tour as a shore excursion from a cruise ship with admission to the village and a traditional dance performance in the Beaver Clan House. We were not shown a traditional village rather a rundown area that suggested the traditional owners were not well looked after. Empty alcohol bottles under an outdoor bench reinforced this notion. The "dance" was very simple, basic and repetitive as was the accompanying drum. Little was explained about the significance or stories. Our guide (not of native descent?) was disinterested and rattled off a few learned facts in a monotone. The Carving Center was almost interesting but without enough seats for their senior audience. There was a brief description of the totem poles however we felt we didn't learn much about the history, stories, and significance behind the poles and the Tlingit culture. All in all we went with interest and high hopes however our visit was a disappointing waste of time and money.
