点评:Rated solely on its own merit: 3 out of 5. Compared to other museums, in general: 2 of 5. Compared to National Air & Space Museum in Washington: 1 of 5. Why? Overall, small. And to be THE Langley VisitorCenter, it is somewhat disorganized and lacking. All of the hanging aircraft only have a three-sentence placard (at most) and to find those, you must accidentally find them by climbing the various levels of the center. There are iPads for some of the exhibits, but they don’t work. What’s very disappointing is the lack of information on all the exhibits. PROS: The docents are AMAZING. You MUST find a docent to learn anything of significance about the exhibits. TOP EXHIBIT: Apollo 12 capsule. The actual capsule! And if you can find a docent, like George, you will feel like the visit was worth it.
