点评:A very striking and imposing looking working bell tower. There are great views of the city to capture if you climb to the top of this tower. Plus there are interesting pieces of history to be gleamed on your visit, including the video in the basement. I was warned that the bells would ring every 15 minutes and as you are in close proximity to them, it is well worth remembering that. What I was not warned about was the steep and hazardous climb required to reach the top of the bell tower! The climb starts with a spiral staircase (as found in castles) within the walls then through a large glass door where you become open to the elements. As it was 0 degrees the morning I went up the tower, it was extremely cold and from this point you are required to ascend 5 steep wooden ladders. It was very dangerous being so cold and so steep. No one was in attendance, should an accident occur, as I assume it would have been too cold for a person to be stationed up there.
