点评:I thought about skipping this, but I'm glad I didn't. I was probably on the tour with Phil, who left a previous review, and everything he said was true. However, that did not mask the fact that it was a very historically interesting and informative trip. The area wreaked with history and environmental loss and carelessness in the past. The imprint of all of that on the landscape was quite obvious. The fact that they left that dredge where they left it at the end of its lifetime and where they left it (closed the door and walked away), is an interesting fact of history. Yes, there was plenty of retail to be had and yes, everybody found gold in their dirt, which was not planned of course it's just there's that much gold there. I too felt the commercial side of it was a little much but I did enjoy the history and I didn't let the retail interfere with that.I drank plenty of free, hot tea and ate some delicious cookies.
