点评:Before visiting the Dambana Vedda Village with my family, I read many negative reviews online, but our experience completely proved them wrong.
The museum is absolutely worth seeing. It provides a fantastic look into our culture and the history of Sri Lanka's original indigenous people. The entrance fee is only Rs. 50/-, which is incredibly reasonable and accessible for everyone.
We also watched the traditional Vedda dance and listened to their music. While the dance itself is simple, it is a genuine reflection of their living culture. After the performance, they offered a traditional prayer for anyone interested. You can step forward to receive the blessing and leave a small tip in a pot as a voluntary gesture—there was no pressure.
Aside from the bee honey, which is priced higher, we found all the local food items and goods they sell to be very reasonably and nominally priced. I am honestly sad to see people writing negative things about this place. Please visit and support them—it is a great experience for families!
