点评:Picturesque Art Deco tower constructed in the 1930s that gracefully sits atop Telegraph Hill. Inside are murals in the American Social Realism Style depicting life in California at the time. The artists who created the murals were hired under the newly created Public Works of Art Project, the first New Deal federal employment program to support artists during the Great Depression. However, the highlight of visiting Coit Tower is the amazing 360-degree panoramic views of the city and of the San Francisco Bay especially if you are able to visit on a clear sunny day. The entrance cost is $11 but discounts are available for California residents, seniors and children. There is an elevator but don't count on it operating which is almost always the case from our experience and other reviews. It is a moderately strenuous climb up 13 flights of steps but the views at the top are so worth it. There is limited parking. Use the #39 bus from Pier 39 that brings you to the top of Telegraph Hill and the entrance to the tower otherwise it is a demanding climb, and you can save your energy for the tower itself. Walking down Telegraph Hill is much more enjoyable.
