Most fascinating experience on our trip to West Virginia!
Greenbrier Government Relocation Facility的点评
点评:This bunker tour was absolutely the most fascinating experience on our trip. I joined a Cincinnati bus tour to West Virginia in April. We started in Huntington and visited the Heritage Farm Museum and then took the Amtrak through New River Gorge to White Sulphur Springs. At the Greenbrier our group of 43 was divided in two. Our tour guide had been on the job for 9 years. She really knew her stuff! We had to put our purses and phones in a locker before we went in. Our guide explained what we saw on the tour, how the bunker was built in the 1950's and then restocked every 3-5 days until 1992 when a Washington Post reporter uncovered the well kept 30 year secret. Well worth the price! We had lunch afterwards at Draper's in the hotel - lovely but expensive. Highly recommend!
