点评：The Cliff Walk was closed back in October 2022 when we last visited. A good deal of repair/improvement work appears to have been done between then and now. The trail seems easier and safer to follow, as more sections appear to have newly-placed flat stones that are less likely to twist ankles or cause falls than the more rugged ones I remember from previous walks.
But the great thing about this early-spring walk is the abundance of varied and colorful spring flowers. What a show! The floral display begins at the first sign (right near the Black Point Inn) pointing the way to the start of the Cliff Walk. And it continues through most of the walk, creating wonderful effects for photographers.
The weather is quite cool, so I would expect that these colorful floral conditions will continue for at least a while. If you can get here NOW, by all means do so!
Do wear sturdy shoes with good ankle support and, even on a calm, sunny day, it's best to bring along a jacket, as weather conditions can change quickly, and light winds off the water can turn at the blink of an eye into strong gusts.
This walk is one of the really fun/great things to do on this part of the Maine coast, so give it a go if you're anywhere nearby. As a bonus, you will get a nice view of the back of Winslow Homer's workshop, which you will pass by and thus place yourself right in the frame of his viewpoint of rocks, water, and sky, subjects of many of his paintings. You will not be disappointed.
