点评:We took a bus and a metro to get there. It is feasible if you are in Maryland, Alexandria or even Washington DC. We paid $30 fee and adding $2 more to go inside the mansion. We suggest to order online as you can use a discount code (20%) you get in some promotional magazines. At the entrance, the old guy that was on October 12 was very anxious and rude to our son just because he was holding the door so does another old guy at the mansion that misunderstood our son question if he knew the years that the house was built. A 17 year old didn’t have any “racist” intention in his question, however, the staff guy was offended and we could notice his frustration with the question. It is obvious the staff and the volunteers need more training how to work with the customers. It is not free as the museums in Washington so why to make feel the customers bad with ther inpatience. The house, grounds and museum are really good to visit. Gift shop is great and there is a nice restaurant in the complex. We recommend it but we suggest the organization to train better their staff, especially, the seasoned ones.
