点评:The caves are amazing, beautiful, and well worth the trip out to see this UNESCO world heritage site. If you’re not a walker or are claustrophobic or don’t like stairs then maybe this isn’t for you. There is a nice 1-1/2 hour guided tour (mandatory) through the main cave and then you can go further on your own if you’d like - which we did. Again, well worth it. My only caution is - try to get a guide who is NOT Nate. He was as snarky as could be to the visitors. Maybe he was just having a bad day or maybe he doesn’t like his job or something else but whatever - he was downright rude, short-tempered, unwelcoming and kind of hostile.
The way it works is that you get your ticket (I’d recommend going online the day before so you can get the timeslot you want entrance is hourly). You then wait in a ‘meeting area’. When it’s your time to enter, one of the guides divides the big groups up into large groups, then you go through the turnstile and have your ticket scanned, you meet your guide (don’t go in Nate’s group!), then you start the descent. There are a couple stops during the tour for questions and explanations. At the end of the tour you can head two different ways 1) out and 2) more walking into another cave and also you can walk to the bridge over the waterfall. No photos allowed. All beautiful. Have fun!!
