点评：The USS Arizona was a Pennsylvania-class battleship of the U.S. Navy that was sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Of the 1,512 men aboard that morning, 1,177 were killed, a staggering loss that accounted for nearly half of all the American lives lost in the attack. More than 900 of those sailors and Marines still rest within the ship, which is part of what makes the memorial feel so sacred and unforgettable.
Standing at the memorial was especially moving, knowing it serves as the final resting place for so many of the crew members who lost their lives aboard the ship and were never recovered. There is a stillness there that invites you to slow down, look more closely, and take in the weight of the history around you. Afterward, we walked through the surrounding grounds, pausing at the exhibits and additional memorials that help tell the broader story of Pearl Harbor. There was far more to absorb than could be taken in all at once, but that was part of what made the visit so meaningful. It was not only informative, but deeply humbling, and I left feeling grateful that we had the chance to experience it together.
