This is a ticketed experience (paid admission), and it is absolutely worth the cost. Because it takes place before the store opens, the crowd size is very small and intimate—just a handful of families—so you are not fighting crowds or noise. Instead, you have space to move, look, listen, and truly take it all in.
Walking into FAO Schwarz before the doors opened felt like stepping into a living storybook. The lights, the music, the iconic aisles—all of it felt entirely ours for a brief, perfect moment. For my family, this wasn’t just a visit to a legendary toy store; it was a memory we will carry forever.
