点评:This was my first visit to Six Flags Great Adventure, and my experience was mixed. The first thing I noticed on arrival was the very expensive parking fee — nearly the same price as a single admission ticket. Why so expensive? I have no idea, since there's plenty of land around.
The park itself is huge — we ended up walking more than 20,000 steps that day. My biggest piece of advice: study the park map before you go, mark the rides you want to do, and plan your route. Otherwise you'll waste a lot of time and energy crisscrossing the park.
The most disappointing part of the day was the number of closed rides. Some were shut down for the entire day, others intermittently due to malfunctions. This seems to be a chronic issue rather than bad luck on our part — rides randomly shutting down for 20–30 minutes at a time appears to be routine here. In such a big park maybe some of this is to be expected, but it's still frustrating to walk all the way to a ride only to find it closed, or worse, to wait in a long line and be told the ride is shutting down just as your turn comes up, with a vague "try again later."
Be prepared for the costs, too: between parking, food, and add-ons, the total for a family adds up very quickly.
On the positive side, the park is genuinely fun and offers many options for different ages and daredevil levels — from mild family rides to serious coasters like El Toro.
