Nicely expanded museum, free on Tuesday

点评：Here’s a very convenient, but smallish museum, located in Greenwich, CT right off US 95. It was recently expanded and remodeled, but many of the original exhibits are the same.
In addition to the changing exhibit, there are permanent exhibits dealing with art, geology, anthropology, and zoology.
Tuesdays are free, so that’s the day I would recommend. There was a lecture/tour conducted by one of the docents at 1:30. A small gift shop is worth visiting, and a new cafe was added.
I believe they have educational programs for children, but I don’t know if they’re free. More information is available on their website.
It is easily accessible by Metro North. If you’re coming from the south, get off in Greenwich, walk to the street, turn right, and continue until you see the museum across the street. It’s an easy climb up to the entrance.
