圣莫尼卡码头的点评
点评：We went to the SANTA MONICA PIER, paying a visit to the GETTY VILLA. It was a short 10 Minute Drive.
We had hoped to find a parking spot close to the
SMP, but instead found a spot a few blocks away on OCEAN BLVD. It gave us a chance to walk along the raised boardwalk.
We got to the pier, and my mind was set on the PACIFIC WHEEL.
It is the world's only solar-powered wheel, and gives visitors a panoramic view of the Southern California coastline from more than 130 feet above the Santa Monica Pier. Measuring 85 feet, the Wheel moves at 2.5 revolutions per minute with intermittent stops to pick up passengers. Features more than 174,000 energy-efficient LED lights that display dynamic, eye-popping computer-generated lighting entertainment in the evenings.
We walked down the ramp to the main pier, then past the many restaurants, and bars and games.
We got there, and I paid the $10.00. HOWEVER,, I had to ride with one of their employees as a single.

It was the highlight of the trip. We went around several, several times. It is definitely worth it!!!
I couldn't make it back to the car, so I waited for my partner to pick me up in front of THE IVY RESTAURANT on OCEAN BLVD.
