14 days Urbex photography tour and discovery of Armenia

点评：I spent seven days travelling privately, followed by another seven days with a group of photographers.
My aim was to practise urbex photography while discovering Armenia, its mountainous landscapes and cuisine, as well as doing some street photography. During the first week, I wanted to remain completely free from a fixed itinerary and, with a rental car, be able to travel from one location to another, day by day, without constraints.
Nvard Melkonyan from Central Tour Armenia organised everything for me from A to Z and then accompanied me throughout these 15 days. She did an outstanding job!
You really do not need to read any further: I recommend her wholeheartedly and without reservation.
I particularly appreciated the quality of Central Tour’s organisation, the complete sense of safety throughout the entire road trip, the beauty and scale of Armenia’s mountainous landscapes, and the originality of the urbex photography locations, most of them remnants of the Soviet era.
Besides being extremely friendly and likeable, Nvard is a highly capable and knowledgeable person whom I was able to trust completely. Her network throughout the country meant that wherever we went, we were always warmly welcomed, expected on time and received with genuine hospitality.
The itinerary, schedule and budget were all perfectly respected. Nvard showed great patience, was available at all times and was very flexible in adapting to our planned photography sessions — something I particularly appreciated as a photographer.
During our long stretches on the road, we also had many interesting discussions about Armenia: its history, religion, cities and much more. Nvard introduced me to a wide variety of restaurants, all excellent in terms of food quality, originality, authenticity and local character.
