点评:We booked a guided tour for 3 pm to visit for the first time, after living in the Bay Area a long time and hiking in this area occasionally. TL:DR, it's great! Fascinating work saving mostly sea lion and seals (of all kinds) pups. You can see the labs, tanks, and other parts of the working facility from a bit of a distance (unless you take the behind the scenes tour) but of course for the animals' safety you cannot be on top of them as if it were a zoo! Also a good exhibit hall with specimens, and a nice little gift shop that supports the important conservation work they do. My teen, spouse, and I learned so much. I highly recommend a visit for anyone who cares about oceans, animals, and STEM in action! You can visit for free but I suspect you get more out of the guided tour, which is really not expensive (and locals can look for discounts through library passes). Note that the cover photos in Trip Advisor are not this Sausalito location - not sure where that walkway/bridge/lighthouse is. But not here at the Sausalito Marine Mammal Center.
