San Antonio Zoo的点评
点评：I've been in S.A. for a little over 2 years and have always wanted to see the zoo but it was a big disappointment. It was midday and most of the animals were sleeping except for the giraffes. flamingos and monkeys. We did see one otter playing in his 'river'. You always had to search for the other animals because most had gone inside from the heat. We did see a sleeping bear and a sleeping alligator. Yay! The enclosures were uninspiring. I don't know how those animals could be happy in such gray, boring enclosures. As I remember, the bear had a small pool to sit in...why wouldn't they fill that moat with water for it...too expensive? It was completely dry.
I was particularly interested in seeing the elephants...my favorite animal. After walking forever looking for them, I saw two zoo keepers pass by, a man and a woman and asked the man who was nearest to me where the elephants were. Obviously, I hit a nerve. He didn't smile and coldly told me they didn't have elephants. I smiled and said thank you. Even my son mentioned his unfriendly demeanor. The thing is, to me, a zoo isn't a zoo without elephants...though with the pared down, boring habitats, that's probably a good thing for this zoo.
This experience was a waste of our $80. I, as a senior citizen, got a whole $5 off! What a deal! We basically paid for the opportunity to dodge people, walk in the hot sun and search for glimpses of animals. This zoo might be fun for kids who haven't seen other zoos, but it's the worst one I've personally ever been to.

这次体验简直浪费了我们80美元。我作为老年人，居然只省了5美元！真是太划算了！我们基本上就是花钱体验了一把躲避人群、顶着烈日行走、寻找动物踪迹的感觉。这家动物园或许对那些没去过其他动物园的孩子来说还不错，但就我个人而言，它是我去过的最糟糕的动物园。
