Half Day Trip, Fell Short of our Expectations

点评：Our half-day catamaran charter unfortunately was not a good first impression. The dock location is at what appears to be an abandoned home that is currently for sale and quite run down. Getting down to the dock required walking down many steps with railings that felt old and not very sturdy. There was no one there to greet us, which made it difficult to find the boat through the overgrown brush.
Once onboard, the captain and mate were personable when we spoke to them, but they did not go out of their way to engage with our group. We were told we would visit two snorkeling spots, but we were only taken to one. We had also asked about seeing some beaches on St. John, which did not happen. The trip mostly consisted of stopping at one snorkeling location and then sailing.
That said, the time on the water was still pleasant and enjoyable, it just didn’t meet our expectations based on what was described. The catamaran itself was roomy, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of space for our group of eight to relax in both the sun and shade.
At the end of the trip, we were brought back to the same dock and left waiting for our ride at the abandoned property along a very busy road, with no bathroom or amenities available, which was not ideal.
Overall, while parts of the experience were enjoyable, it fell short of expectations.
