点评:We have driven by the March Air Field for years & I always wanted to visit so on a free day on the spur of the moment we drove up there. It was raining, wet and freezing but we FINALLY made it! I wanted to see the A26 (which is a converted B-26) (immediate family member was top turret gunner on said plane during WWII). A= attack, B=bomb. Due to the rain we were pretty much alone with a handful of other visitors. Lots of interesting planes outside on the grounds. I loved seeing a Blackbird up close & personal inside — it’s a total thrill. What a gorgeous and sleek futuristic looking aircraft. I enjoyed the replica of The Tube in London during WWII as well as the tribute to Bob Hope & his dedication to entertaining the USO. What a cool museum! One side comment is that some posters in the museum were labeled as “propaganda posters” but they were merely recruitment posters - not propaganda, in my opinion. We want to come back again in better weather to visit and see all of the planes more closely outdoors.
