Historic, Extensive Gold Mine Complex
Empire Mine State Historic Park的点评
点评:Empire Mine, now a California State Historic Park, was one of the largest, most productive gold mines developed from the California Gold Rush. There were many mines in this specific are alone, which lead to the nearby town of Nevada City earning the tile "Queen of the Northern Mines" and making it in the 1850s the 3rd largest town in California, after only San Francisco and Sacramento. The mining industry dominated the region's economy for decades, not declining until a series of events and other changes in the 1870s lead to a mining decline. However, this mine continued to operate for many more decades and it alone produced a massive amount of gold.
Today, visitors can tour the mining buildings, go inside the entrance to the big mine shaft, and take a tour of the mansion on the grounds. It is well worth a couple hours or so. It is just outside the town of Grass Valley and easily accessible.

如今,游客可以参观矿井建筑,进入大型矿井入口,并参观矿区内的庄园。花上几个小时游览非常值得。它位于格拉斯谷镇(Grass Valley)郊外,交通便利。
