Breathtaking views. Extremely challenging descent

点评：The valley of Cocora offers breath taking views. Going up to Finca Montana is steep uphill with the first part being the wax palms and the hope of seeing the condor. Once the Finca Montana is reached the descent is extremely challenging: very narrow technical trails with rocks, swinging bridges and NO SIGNS anywhere to know if it’s the right way or not.
There is a part that involves going over a boulder to get to a set of stairs alongside the river. A path easily missed because as noted above there is no signage.
The last part, in our case, was in rain and the uneven terrain framed with barbed wires along side the last trail made it stressful.
The level of difficulty is not mentioned at the start of the journey, and the attendant provides only the approximate time it’ll take. If you are not familiar with extreme technical terrain do not attempt it.
