点评:Slide Rock is the Oak Creek stop everyone talks about, and the cold water is real. We went mid-morning in May and the parking lot was already filling — arrive right when they open if you can. The natural chute is short but fast; algae on the sandstone makes it slick, so water shoes with grip helped a lot. Kids in our group went down again and again while the rest of us waded in the shallows and watched. The red-rock walls and the old apple orchard above the creek make it feel like more than a swim hole. Shade is patchy; we kept hats and sun lotion in the bag. Pets aren’t allowed in the creek area, and summer rules get strict. Check the park site before you drive up — they sometimes close the swim area or stop cars when the lot is full. Worth it for a hot Sedona day if you plan around parking.
