Not a pleasant encounter
Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary的点评
点评：Quite upset, with How rude the lady was with myself and my husband.
We drove past and thought we had heard of this place and it was charity run. So would be perfect for us to Adopt, as it would help the sanctuary.
We started looking around, one lady very warm smiled at us and carried on walking. Then moments later a lady around later 50's possibly 60's approached us, and asked if she could help. We said we are just looking, for her to respond, " we are shut" I replied " I'm so sorry we didn't realise the gate was open". The lady smirked and said well it does state on the gate, that's why no one is here. We walked off back to the car straight away. But upon reflection, I thought how patronising and aggressive the lady came across. The sign is next to the gate, and if we stopped at looked we would have seen it. This is absolutely our fault, however being spoken to in a nasty manner, really left us with an uneasy feeling, and makes me think I could never approach anyone at my workplace the same way, as I am a big believer that treating people with Kindness may be the difference to that persons day. The small encounter, has helped us determine us to get a dog elsewhere, as I truly believe that it contributes with the process. It is hard for me to feel this way, as the charity I assume is fantastic.
