点评：Our almost three-week experience travelling the length and breadth of Armenia with Envoy Tours was outstandingly good from start to finish. Before our visit, the company went to exceptional lengths via email and live chat in order to fully accommodate our ambitious plans and make sure that everything within our desired itinerary was reassuringly in place by the time we arrived in the country.
Our trip began with an absolutely fantastic small (just five people) group day trip from the capital, Yerevan, entitled 'Enchanted Armenia', led by a very friendly and well-informed English-speaking guide. Not only did this involve visiting some hugely interesting historic sites - including Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the Areni-1 cave complex and Noravank Monastery - but the day also including a delicious, traditional Armenian lunchtime meal and wine-tasting experience.
Following our day trip, Envoy Tours provided us with the absolute luxury of a single, highly experienced and extremely friendly and helpful driver for the rest of our two-and-a-half week journey. The immaculately clean, well air-conditioned car with extremely comfortable reclining seats was a joy to travel in and we were able to request whatever music we wanted to be played through the car's excellent sound-system. The car's powerful motor allowed slow-moving traffic to be very easily overtaken, thus preventing any frustrating delays, but we could see immediately that our driver was extremely professional and that he would never overtake without first being 100% sure that it was safe for him to do so.
Throughout our journey, the English-speaking tour guide back in Yerevan kept checking in with us to make sure that we were happy and that everything was always unfolding to our satisfaction - and it most definitely was, 110%! She, along with our wonderful driver, even made sure that I was greeted with a cake and candles on the morning of my birthday!
From Yerevan in the centre, to Jermuk, Sisian, Tatev, Goris and Meghri in the south, up to Lake Sevan, Odzun, Haghpat and Gyumri in North, our Armenian adventure with Envoy Tours was of absolutely exceptional quality and an experience that we will long remember with the greatest affection, not just for all the amazing places that we were able to visit, but also for the amazingly friendly and professional people from Envoy Tours who made it all possible.
