Don’t Sleep On UMMA
Ukranian Institute of Modern Art的点评
点评：I had heard of the Ukrainian Museum of Modern Art from a few of my friends who went during Open House Chicago last year. I’ve got to tell you….UMMA did not disappoint!
Some of the artwork there is incredible! One of the things that I found very surprising was the vast multicultural display of work that they had. One of the pieces that I found rather exquisite was this one exhibit that was a series of mirrors that were painted with numerous faces of different cultures and genders. It was absolutely beautiful! The colors were vivacious. The paint stokes told the story of intensity from the artist. It was really a treasure to see.
Then there were some other pieces that were basically , well, let’s just say “ up for interpretation.” Lol. One of them was the usual TV playing in the corner. I thought it was weird, but fascinating at the same time. The quintessential, modern art exhibit. Which gets me to my point. This is what you can expect when you go to the Ukrainian Museum of modern Art in Chicago. Definitely worth the time and visit. Highly recommended! Please see pictures for more!
