Disappointing and shady operation

点评：What a terrible experience. Our excursion was from 10:30 am-2:30 pm. Our shuttle picked us up on time and delivered us to the ATV base just outside of Quepos. We then sat alone and captive for 3 hours in the stifling heat before getting to go on the ATVs. We were served our lunch while we waited which was delicious. But when our tour guide Kevin finally returned from the previous trip, it was nothing but an upsell and felt rather slimy. No compensation for sitting there for 3 hours. We finally got going at 1:30 pm. First stop - a little local market where we were given a bottle of water. And then we sat there for 20 minutes while Kevin chatted with the owners. We were encouraged to shop. After finally convincing him to go, he promised us an exceptional experience. We drove past one tiny waterfall. He then led us up to an incredible hilltop restaurant. The views were amazing! But once again, this was owned by his friends. We were told we should buy something. Kevin had two beers while we there. We were clear that we needed to be back in Quepos for our next tour but that was largely ignored. We still hadn’t gone to the swimming waterfall. We had to convince him to leave the restaurant. Finally we got to the waterfall. He left us alone to swim which was a relief. After a quick swim (we were hot and filthy from the trails) we told him to call ahead and ensure the shuttle was there to pick us up. We drove back with a few stops - albeit interesting - but by that point we were done and just wanted to get out of there. The whole operation felt dishonest and shady. I would not recommend this trip. The view was incredible but not worth the stress and pressure put upon us. There was no acknowledgment from Kevin for the delay and inconvenience. In the end we missed our evening tour which cost us an additional amount.
