点评:The museum tour is divided into two distinct sections. The first section covers the history of the Salem Witch Trials. Visitors sit on padded stools and listen to the audio recording of the events that took place while looking at the life size stage sets that are lit up as the narration progressed. We really enjoyed this presentation and the visuals were very well put together. The second section of the museum focuses on the evolution of the witch and various depictions that we’ve seen in media and/or history. I didn’t really like this part of the museum. I think the focus should stay on the Salem Witch Trials and maybe offer more in depth history of the Puritans, their beliefs and their fears. Arthur Miller’s play, “The Crucible” could be incorporated into this section of the museum tour with a detailed explanation of how it was written as an allegory for what was happening in the 1950s.
