点评:We recently visited the museum on a dismal, rainy Halloween weekend . While I had been there before, my husband had not. Neither had our nine year old grandson who we were “entertaining” that day. Not desirous of getting into family issues, let’s just say he is a challenging child. And not happy to be there one bit!
First and foremost, the museum is not to be missed! And I mean that on an international scale! Mr. Warther was not only a master carver, but a true mathematical/engineering genius! With little formal education!
However, the true gem of this trip for us was one of the docents, Greg! “Mr.Greg” immediately recognized that our grandson needed engaged and PERSONALLY took on that challenge. A 7th grade history teacher in the local school district, he went out of his way to find ways to tweak his interest. And was exceedingly patient when our grandson bounced from topic to topic, not always related to what Greg was explaining! Thank you, Greg! You are the best!!
