点评:An interesting bus ride to Beer yesterday. We decided on a bus adventure to beer via the local bus service, the journey was definitely interesting with extremely narrow roads with thick hedges, Devon banks, walls and plenty of traffic made it a real adventure. From Sidmouth to Branscombe then Beer down the lanes is just a 40 minutes ride .
It was a lovely sunny day and we enjoyed a walk around the beach areas and the almost Mediterranean feel with beach cafes and umbrella seating areas. Bright and colourful beach huts coded to match the three cafes on the beach. A fast running stream is a lovely addition the high street down to the beach.
There are plenty of typical English seaside shops and the dolphin antiques center, we enjoyed looking around them all. A pasty for lunch and coffee on the beach made it an enjoyable day.
We finished off with an hour back in Sidmouth, and an ice cream at Taste by fields, then a walk along the seafront and chat with friends.
Ended with an evening at the Sidmouth NLO ( Norman Lockyer Observatory) somewhere everyone should visit on open days.
