点评：It had been a few years since our last time at the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre. We were looking forward to an enjoyable evening at this pretty outdoor venue, listening to the music of Emmylou Harris and Graham Nash. After our experience, this might be the last time attending a show there. Getting in to park our car was quick and simple, but the staffers are pretty intense in directing you. Then we got in line to wait for the gates to open one hour before show time. No bags allowed at this venue. I was already upset at having to downsize my purse to only basic essentials (who cares if I need a Kleenex or gum or a hairbrush or mosquito repellent). We watched women walking back to their cars to lock up their purses there. And chairs being measured to make sure they aren't too high. And people having to take their seat cushions out of a brown paper bag. Ridiculous. Then we went through security where you have to empty your pockets and put the tiny purse in the little basket. Some people had to be wanded. We made our way towards the amphitheatre and onto the lawn. Only to find that they must have watered the lawn within the past two hours and it was still wet! Glad we brought a blanket to put on the ground under our lawn chairs! Still the smell of wet grass and mud permeated the air throughout the show. Since you can't bring in any food or drink, we had to buy something to quench our thirst. And since I don't drink that other cola brand, I had to settle for beer....a tall can for $17!! Thankfully the show itself was terrific. Both performers played their individual 75-minute sets. Both were superb. I especially enjoyed Graham Nash's set of familiar hit songs that he played throughout his career.
