点评：On September 15, 2026 my husband David and I embarked on the experience of a lifetime. We began our trek around the Huayhuash mountain range in Peru with the trekking company called Los Amigos de Huayhuash. Our guide Wilder, chef Crispin and animal wrangler Abner felt like family after only one day together. Wilder set a pace that we could manage and was patient and encouraging. We celebrated the victory of our achievement at the top of each and every mountain pass. When the team realized I had arrived without rain pants (who knew it would rain so much?!), Abner offered me his rain pants for the duration of the trek. Crispin created three amazing meals for us each day plus one hearty tea and snack. There were also extra snacks for the trail. The meals were thoughtfully planned to give us strength and energy for the day’s tasks. When the day’s trek lasted far past the usual lunch time of 1pm, Crispin would meet us on the trail and like magic would produce a fully prepared delicious meal with hot tea. Wilder was always enjoyable to be around. He never lost his good sense of humour and we were always kept in a good mood with his positive outlook on everything. Also, his knowledge of the mountains and wildlife was unbelievable. He knew the names of every peak, every creature and every plant we encountered. If you want the most amazing experience of your lifetime, I highly recommend you contact Los Amigos de Huayhuash and book your trek through the Andes mountains of Peru.
