On big lake, so many places to visit around it!

点评：This is the biggest freshwater lake in France with a 56km trip to go round the whole lake. There are so many beautiful spots and beaches to visit around the lake and we clocked up quite a few. Some of the areas don't allow dogs but there are many where you can alllow your four-legged companion to run and splash about. The lake is shallow to quite far out so great for paddling about and the many beaches around the lake have retsaurants which give fab views whilst you enjoy lunch or dinner. Some nature reserves restrict access but I could easily pass a while week exploring this pllace and its environs. Also not far from the Atlantic beaches, so for my pup, a swim at the beach followed by a dip in the lake to wash the salt out of his coat was just perfect! Proximity to the beautiful woods all around mean you can nip under the trees for a walk in the shade when the beaches get too hot.
