点评：In May of 2026 a group of 5 females (myself included) hiked the narrows. It was great. We were the last out and waiting for one of the final busses. As we stood at the bus stop, alone, this man who introduced himself as “Larry” began a conversation with us. He told us we “seemed like a hoot” asked us about our trip and generally seemed like a sweet older man. That quickly turned south. When he asked us to guess his age as the women gave their guesses he responded with “well I could kiss you” then I lastly gave my guess he responded with “well I can’t say the things I’d like to do to you” I responded with “well that’s inappropriate” and actually kicked him in his shin. He then said “ooo she touched me” Then this man asked us if we all SHOWERED TOGETHER. Yes. Showered together. Now we are 5 women to one man but we were alone. Unknowing if he was armed, had buddies and all of us are past victims of SA. We were actual in Zion on a retreat for headlining with an additional 15+ women. We froze, we have beat ourselves up over that. Luckily the bus pulled up just then and we got on. It didn’t stop there though. He told the bus driver “Those girls are trouble and laughed” In our previous conversation he had told us he bikes the canyon often, usually weekly and waits until the last bus so he has the ride of the canyon all to himself. Well he did not this night. He followed our bus. He got beside it in the opposing lane of traffic and rode up beside our window and shook his butt at us. The bus driver noticed this and asked if he had been bothering us. We explained the situation and she radioed in what happened. They told her to not make extended stops and hurry back to drop us off at the visitor center where we had parked. We thought we lost him. When we got off the bus neither the driver or us saw him. But as we were briskly walking to our vehicle there he was. Combing in and out through the lanes of the parking lot looking for us. We ran to our car, loaded up and pulled away as fast as possible. This was scary. At that moment it became very real that he very much so could have other people there waiting to snatch us. He told us he was local to the area, he bikes from town to the narrows and back home. He even went as far as to suggest a “secluded and serene” hiking trail we should visit the following day because it would be nice. This is grooming. This is not ok. Please be on the look out for this man, and do not engage. As I am sure there are others but we just want people, especially women hiking and such to be safe.
