点评:The purpose of our trip was to hike in Mount Zion National Park. A quick 5 day trip to hike as many trails as we could. Definitely on the list was hiking up The Narrows as a day trip ( no permit needed) . We brought our own hiking poles but rented the boots and neoprene socks to go up river. We highly recommend spending the $$ to rent the boots which also includes a wooden walking stick. A locker is a few $$ more, but keeps your belongings safe.
The hike was fantastic! We were fortunate enough to not have flash flood warnings on the day we went so the water wasn’t very deep, ankle or mid calf in most areas, a bit more in others. The views were spectacular and the cool water was refreshing on a hot day.
It’s about a mile hike on a paved walkway to get to the entrance point. There is one way in and out so however far you hike up, The Narrows , you must also hike back, so you can choose the length of your adventure.
There were plenty of people hiking but not all go really far, so the crowd thinned out the further up you went. Even where there were more people it wasn’t too crowded.
Remember to bring adequate snacks and water if you’re going, and waterproof bags for cameras.
