点评:Fun, chilly , worth it and depending on what you want to do Chaco sandals work fine. I lost sleep over this because I thought we’d need the boots poles and neoprene socks., but didn’t have time to rent them. Yes if your planning to hike a few miles those would be helpful, but if you just want to check out the Narrows a bit like a 30 - 60 minutes “hike”/meander tevas / chacos or similar worked just fine. Only my wife had a hiking stick and she has bad knees. Without poles and boots you move slower and more deliberately for sure - but definitely doable for a shorter exploration - we decided once we got waist deep we were good. Also, if you are staying near any of the shuttle lines there is no need to rush to get there in the AM if you’re doing a short hike like us. (We went on 4th of July weekend) There was a way way bigger line in the morning than at any other time that day. Keep the kiddos happy and let them sleep in a little.
