点评:Beautiful home with exquisite furnishings. The tour was somewhat disappointing in that only the first floor was available to view. We were able to see four rooms and a fabulous bathroom. Our guide was informative and well scripted with an obvious deadline of time as we scurried from one room to another. The legacy of Jim Williams was shared in bounty with glorious stories of antiquities and wealth. Some parts of the narrative seemed forced to me and afterwords I discovered pieces of information that were left out or conflicting. His mother actually inherited the house but we only heard that it was his sister, who was mostly left out of his will. She obtained the house after mom Williams passed away. The Tiffany skylight (maybe I misunderstood) doesn’t seem to match with my online research. I also read most of his furnishings were sold by his mom, so I wonder about the furnishings which reside there now. The tour was interesting but left me with more questions about furnishings, restoration and living arrangements of the niece who supposedly lives there now. FYI…..I had no background information and did not read the best selling book before visiting the house. No photos were permitted and we paid $32 as a couple for the tour.
