Description of Complaint:
My family and I have been loyal patrons of Disney for over 50 years and have never previously requested assistance. However, due to my current medical condition, I now require the Disability Access Service (DAS) to safely visit the parks.
Disney explicitly instructed us that we could only register for this service via their online chat system. We attempted to access this system for over two weeks without success. When the system failed, we emailed their DAS department directly, providing extensive medical evidence of my condition, including documentation of my stroke and ICD device.
In their response, Disney admitted that their online chat system was experiencing technical issues but stated they could not help us via email. They offered no alternative solution, essentially trapping us in a loop: telling us to use a system they acknowledged was broken.
Violation:
By refusing to offer an alternative method of registration when their primary system was known to be non-functional, Disney has effectively denied me equal access to their facilities. We followed their protocols two weeks in advance, yet we are being penalized for their technical failures and overwhelmed system.
I am requesting that this matter be investigated, as their current "loop" of technical errors and refusal to assist via alternative channels acts as a barrier to the disabled community.
