Amazing, but weird coat check.
芝加哥艺术博物馆的点评
点评：The Art Institute of Chicago is, without question, a world class museum. The collection is extraordinary, with iconic works spanning centuries and styles, and the building itself is just as impressive. Walking through the galleries feels like moving through a carefully curated blend of history, culture, and architecture. It is one of those places that truly lives up to its reputation.
That said, our experience with the coat check was unexpectedly uncomfortable. Dropping off our coats earlier in the day was smooth and pleasant, but the pickup experience was noticeably different. As we approached, I had cash in hand to leave a tip and placed it in the tip container. The attendant appeared visibly upset by this. He handed our coats back abruptly, then picked up the tip container, turned it around, and slammed it down on the counter in a way that felt pointed and unprofessional.
It was a strange interaction that took away from an otherwise excellent visit. If tipping is not encouraged, it might be better not to display a tip container at all, as it creates confusion for visitors trying to be courteous.
Overall, the museum itself remains outstanding and absolutely worth visiting, but this small moment stood out in an otherwise world class experience.
