Beautiful Active Church; Flannery O'Connor Connections

点评：As others have noted, this is a beautiful church pretty much in the center of town. You can see the enormous spires from several blocks away.
Author Flannery O'Connor attended Mass here as a child, and her home from that time is only a block or so away on E. Charleton St. They have tours on Thursdays through Saturdays.
The interior of the church is ornate and full of artistic details. This is an active church, so you'll need to avoid Mass times (unless your are attending). We came here twice, once for Mass, and there was a Baptism on the second occasion and we saw multiple weddings as we walked by. This is an active parish and the church was almost full at the Saturday vigil mass.
This is a place of great beauty and faith. For most people, it will only be worth a few minutes to look around, but it's worthwhile for just about everyone.
