Wonderful winter camping experience

点评：Winter camping!!! It was dark when we arrived at the campground. We had made a reservation on line with a very pleasant and efficient Ranger Dougherty (sp?). She assigned us to a site but either didn't mention the loop or I failed to recall it, so we drove past the first loop (the correct one) into the rest of this very extensive and beautiful park. Eventually realizing that there was a pattern to the site numbers, we doubled back and found our site. It was just as we requested--private but near the (immaculate) bathhouse. The sites in this loop are gravel and ample; ours was not very level, but we managed. For $15, we had a very restful night and totally pleasant experience. We should have stayed again on our return trip. Unfortunately, we decided to experience the very contrasting environment at the "resort" lodge in the park. (See our review of that place!)
