Lion's Head Beach的点评
点评：Recently, we took a three-day Ontario getaway to the Northern Bruce Peninsula.
We made Lion’s Head our home base, a picturesque village featuring a sandy beach, a charming marina, a lighthouse with its range light, and an observatory for stargazers. Locals say the nights are darker here, the sky seems endless, and the stars shine brighter than almost anywhere else in Ontario.
The area is also renowned for its spectacular hiking trails, dramatic limestone bluffs, scenic lookouts, and the iconic lighthouse.
For those unfamiliar with the region, Lion’s Head is conveniently situated about 30 minutes south of Tobermory.
We stayed in a newly renovated designer cottage in the heart of the village (15 Webster St.). Thoughtfully redesigned with modern touches, it was within easy walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, a grocery store, a hardware store, and several local boutiques. Best of all, Lion’s Head beach and Marina was only three-and-a-half short blocks away.
We also spent a day in Tobermory, revisiting both Big Tub Harbour, with its historic lighthouse, and Little Tub Harbour, the bustling waterfront district lined with shops, restaurants, and tour boats.
Another nearby gem is Singing Sands Beach. With its crystal-clear waters, unique sand dunes, and shallow swimming areas, it is well worth a visit. The dunes have been shaped over thousands of years, creating one of the region’s most distinctive natural attractions.
One highlight of the trip was watching the sunset at the Lion’s Head Beach and Marina. The colours reflected across the bay created a scene that is difficult to forget.
After discovering such a wonderful Cottage to stay in Lion’s Head, I suspect we’ll be back much sooner.
