Wonderful tour with Island Creek Oyster Farm!

点评：We had a great tour with Island Creek Oyster Farm earlier this week! I had been a couple of years back and had such a great experience, so I was eager to have my family visit, as well. You really gain so much knowledge about the oyster industry. Island Creek has a great facility and Kathy led us on a very educational tour through the process of breeding until the oysters are sold to other farmers or placed into the sea.
After the tour inside the facility, we boarded a boat and were shown how the oysters are cared for once in the water, as well as how they are harvested. Christopher, Molly and Colleen were a fun and informative boat crew. They taught us how to shuck oysters and they also kept shucking fresh oysters for us for the entire tour on the water. The oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious!
This tour is so educational and so much fun and so, so delicious! Highly recommend!
