点评:Our tour was “Hands-on Asado BBQ Masterclass and lunch.
We started out learning how to start the wood/coals in the outdoor grill for our bbq lunch. Once the fire was started, we went inside to mix together the ingredients for the sauces will would use on the various meats of that lunch. Frank, our guide and host, gave us background information on the area and what the day would entail.
We then left the kitchen and walked around the neighborhood. We went to the local butcher to pick up additional meat. Strolled through an organic vegetable garden which supplied veggies to the local food bank. Talked about all the artists that did the murals on the various walls in the area. Next we stopped at a local wine store and had a small wine tasting (Frank also picked up wine for our lunch).
We got back to the house and the Master BBQ chef was grilling the veggies and different meats we would have for lunch. While we waited, Frank made us a delicious cocktail 🍹, I believe with a local spirit, and served some snacks.
Then it was lunch time. The meats and delicacies were served one at a time with the grilled vegetables. It was just wonderful. Each dish was cooked to perfection and the wines complimented each serving. Needless to say we didn’t need to eat dinner that night.
It was a perfect day. A mixture of walking, talking, history, food and drink. Thank you Frank for such a wonderful time.
