BobCat Alpacas的点评
点评：My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful visit to Bobcat Alpacas as a post university exams treat. We had been recommended them by an acquaintance who had thoroughly enjoyed the Alpaca Experience a few months ago and so, being local to the business, we booked our slot.
The first thing we noticed was how well-cared for and happy the alpacas were. Bob and Cat (the couple whose combined names form the name of the business) have provided everything for them from food to acres and acres of fields. It was lovely to see them running full-pelt and gambolling playfully. Bob knows every alpaca by name as well as each one's foibles - another indicator that this couple invest not only their time and money but also their devotion to these animals.
We were assigned an alpaca (my daughter and I shared one) and had the joy of walking it, within the group at all times, up to the reservoir and back. The walk is not difficult with most of it on established tracks and roads. At certain spots on the way, Bob stopped and told us a bit about alpacas, their young, and their origins. Very interesting. We were blessed with a beautiful day and, as a result, at one of the higher points which commanded an impressive view over Edinburgh, Bob and Cat took photos of each group with their alpaca(s) with the view as a backdrop.
We had a wonderful two hours there. The walk was brilliant, and at the end we got the opportunity to feed the boys, the girls, the teenagers, and to see the babies.
I will definitely be doing that again; my husband and son are very keen to join me.
