点评：This historic landmark was a great site to visit. The audio guide makes the experience of walking through the rooms less noisy because people are listening to the audio (vs having a live docent try to be heard for each group walking into a room). Because of the self-guided audio tour, you can pace yourself to go as slow or as fast as you want through the house: you can skip listening to the commentary of a room or listening to a commentary and then walk around a room some more to ensure you see everything.
I purchased a 'length of stay' ticket since I was staying at one of the hotels on the grounds, which allowed visitors to visit the house and gardens for as many times as you wanted. So I saw the house on one day and then went back another day to walk through the gardens and front 'yard'.
Adjacent to the house is the Stable Courtyard, which sells food, beverages and souvenirs, which is convenient, if you are planning to spend the day there. The garden area also has a cafe and gift shop if you prefer to avoid the lunch time crowd at the Courtyard.
