Our experience at Jim Barry Wines was one of the highlights of our Clare Valley visit. The tasting felt incredibly comfortable, cosy and intimate, more like being welcomed into a friend’s home than attending a formal cellar door experience.
Our hostess, Sue, was exceptional — warm, engaging and deeply knowledgeable. Rather than simply presenting the wines, she shared the stories behind the winery, the vineyards and the family in a way that felt like a conversation around a dinner table. Her passion for the wines was genuine and infectious, making the entire experience both educational and enjoyable.
The thoughtfully prepared cheese and snack platter was a wonderful touch, complementing the wines beautifully and helping to bring out different layers of flavour throughout the tasting. Combined with the relaxed atmosphere and outstanding hospitality, it was a memorable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Clare Valley.
