One of the greatest attractions we have ever visited.

点评：Visited on Friday, 12th December 2025, originally attracted by the headline that this was the largest Model Railway in the World in the Speicherstadt Warehouse district. Purchased our tickets online in advance, on the day. Excellent website with clear options on the type of ticket and availability. Once we arrived, access is simple enough, and you basically walk to the top of the building and show your ticket. There is a large cloakroom and café area, and I suggest you make use of both, as the café is excellent and you will appreciate not having to lug your coat around in what are quite small viewing areas, especially when the site is full of other visitors. Once you start walking around the miniature displays, you will find them laid out at waist level based on geographical areas of the world. Each display area changes approx every 5 mins to a night time scence where the huge volume of lights incorporated in each set come on to illuminate the animated scenes. The figures are stunning and give a sense of the scale of this place, but a few to give a taste are the cost of 45M Euros to build, over 1,000 trains, 4,000 buildings & 130,000 trees before you get to a highlight for us of an active miniature airport with 42 planes, which fly in and out of the airport scene. Split over 2 buildings with a stunning walkway between, this has to rank as one of the greatest attractions we have ever visited. The shop is brilliant, and everything is reasonably priced, i.e. entry, food and gifts. Count yourself blessed if you get the opportunity to visit.
